My nan (born Ada Sarah Churcher in 1880) married William Tilbrook on 15 Nov 1902. They had sons Alfred, William, Charles, Len and Herbert and twin daughters Mabel and Doris. The twin girls were born 10 May 1920 but Mabel died at just 20 months old. Doris was my mum. William Tilbrook died 11 Aug 1930, Ada remarried to Mr C E Hall in 1932. Ada died 3 May 1944 and C E Hall 'dissapeared' after paying for funeral of Ada. And burying her with her first husband! I would like to know more about C E Hall, who I vaguely remember as I was born in 1941. He was not geatly liked by his step-children BUT I believe he was a good man... |
