I am trying to find information on Henry Moreton Hall. He was born in the mid to late 1800´s and was a footman in Moreton Hall, Cheshire. Apparently there was some mystery surrounding his birth and its generally thought that he was a bastard son of one of the family living at Moreton Hall at the time. His son, my grandfather, was born in Stockport in 1900 and was named John Henry Moreton Hall. He married Clara Basquill around 1920 and they had Henry (Harry), Irene and Barbara - my mother. I believe that Henry Moreton Hall had a daughter named Ivy. Any information would be appreciated. |
