Hi
I have info re grandparents who married in 1922, but I am now trying to confirm date of births of Sidney Harris poss 1901-1965 and Gertrude hill poss 1895-1970 and then more importantly trace there parents and siblings etc. Don't seem to be getting to far on my own so would be grateful for any help on offer.

I would start with Gertrude's death registration.
Do you know whereabouts she died?

Her death certificate will give her date ..and place of birth ( hopefully) because this has been added to death registrations since 1969.

With fairly common names you need to be sure that you trace the correct line, so only work back from known facts.

Do you have their marriage certificate for 1922? It will give you both their fathers names. Then you can trace Sidney and Gertrude with their fathers etc on the 1901 census.
