	Not so easy on free bmd as you would think. Do you have any census records for Harriet & children ? What were the names of the children & their date of birth ?

Member Since: March 2009 Posts: 10 Send Message	Try checking for marriage record against the name Harriet Weares and his name will appear, give an approx year if you dont know exact year. (www.freebmd.rootsweb.com). Also try the Census Records for family details in married name (Harris). Give her name and providing her family was registered details will show up. Once you have found Gt grandfathers christian name, which will be on marriage certificate you can check death records. You could also try looking at family trees on here.

	Might be best if you buy a childs birth certifcate to see if a father is listed... When ordering a certificate you can stipulate a mothers name ... Harriet Births Dec 1862 (>99%) HARRIS Elizabeth Eastbourne 2b 52 HARRIS Elizabeth Mary Eastbourne 2b 51
