EIleen Leslie I am getting desperate to find out where my grandfather on my mother's side was born. His name was William Harris. He died in Gloucester on 17th February 1963 aged 75. He was a blacksmith to trade and married a Florence Beatrice Ball with whom he had 9 of a family:- Bill, Fred, Frank, Charlie, Joe, Beat, Cis, Nancy, Rose My mother Rose is the only surviving member of the family, her brother Bill having passed away this week. My Mum thought her dad had been born in Stroud but this turns out not to be the case. I think there may be a Welsh connection as her brother Bill was born in Cardiff in August 1912. Can anyone out there help me as I seem to have hit a brick wall. Thank you.
