Member Since: January 2005 Posts: 1 Send Message	AUSTRALIA Trying to find link to THOMAS HARRIS who married KATE CALLAGHAN in Lismore 1885. No parents names noted on marriage certificate. Possibly, Thomas' parents were WILLIAM HARRIS and MARY DONOHUE. William and Mary had a son Thomas born 1853 in Sydney, parents abode at the time was VICTORIA BARRACKS, SYDNEY. Thomas was baptised at St. Mary's R/C Church Sydney in 1854. Was William a soldier at the time? Have found the marriage of a William Harris and Mary Donohoe - 21 May 1849 St. James - 267 Dublin, Dublin, Ireland. Thomas' first child, Kate, was born in 1886 in Sydney and at the time parents were living in LORD ST., NEWTOWN. Thomas was stated to be 30 years of age and a brickmaker. Two more children were born, John in Dubbo 1888; and James in Orange 1892. In the Sands Directories from 1885 until 1913 (possibly longer)there was a William Harris, brickmaker, living in Lord St., Newtown. Sydney. Would there be anyone with a connection or more information on either Thomas or William?
