My gr grandparents were Polly (nee Hopkins)c1880 and William Harris c1880 Married in c1900 Martha born 1901/02: Married Lawrence william Victor Bollands (Jim). My grandmother, she had several sisters and no brothers. Lived in LONDON, Ritter Street WOOLWICH and Rendal Road EAST HAM. Sisters were Iris, Millicent, Edna Beatrice, Maud and Helen. She was the eldest and cared for her sisters after her mother died and her father re-married. She had three children Joan, Edna (my Mum), and William (Bill). My grandmother went to Hong Kong with my grandfather (Army posting)and then moved to Derby where she died in the 1950's. Love to hear from anyone with the remotest connection. |
