Trying to find out about my Grandmother's family - she was born Leah Harris on 29 10 1887 at - 4 Back 40 Granville St Birmingham. Her parents were Thomas Henry Harris and Elizabeth Tell. Leah had brothers and sisters - Thomas Henry b 10 09 1872 at 58 Court, New John Street West Birmingham - Caroline (Carrie) b 19 10 1874 at 7 Court, William Street, Birmingham , possibly also a brother Albert (Bertie). Bertie married Lizzie and they had a son also called Bertie who became a jeweller. They lived at 222 Floyer Rd Birmingham. Brother Tom (Thomas Henry) married Bertha and they moved to Redlands Road Bristol, they had a daughter called Maimie and a son Billy. Billy was a steward/waiter with GWR. It seems Leah's father died and her mother Elizabeth remarried to Jesse Trinder on 08 10 1894 he was 48 and she was 38. They now lived at 54 Whitmore Street Birmingham. Does anything fit with your family tree - if so I'd love to hear from you. Gillian Rimmer 7th November. |
