My name is Rosemary and I am the daughter of Mary Elizabeth Ashford. For many years my mum was tracing her family tree untill she sadly passed away in 2002. Her grandfather Richard William Ashford was born in Ferndale in Wales in 1892. Just before he died in 1980 he told my mum that she should always remember that his real mother's name was Sarah Harris (Sal) and that she died in 1896. She lived in Wales. His real father George Henry Ashford had an afair with Sarah and he and his wife Louisa brough him up themselves. Apart from the date she died and that she lived in Wales in the Ferndale area and that she is buried in Wales we know nothing about her. I would be very grateful if there is anyone out there who knows anything about this, if they could contact me. |
