TRYING TO FIND MY CANADIAN HARRIS'

ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

I'm trying to find my mum's uncles that were sent to Canada in the early 1900's.

Parents were William Henry Harris and Annie Ryan

Victor Nelson Harris (known as Mick) b. 27/04/1898 Haggerston London
Charles c.1897
John c.1901

Victor and Charles possibly left Liverpool October 1910 on the Corsican heading for Quebec. John were not sure about but we do know he married and had at least four children - Jean Guy, Lilianne, Gisard and Jeannie.

Hi Jill
Were they home children?
If so, the easiest way to search is to google home children. That should bring you to a list with Home Children 1869 1930. Click on that which should bring you right in. A more difficult way is to go to www.collcectionscanada.ca and try to find it.

To search the Canadian censuses for the early part of the century go to www.automatedgenealogy.com
This is a free site done by volunteers and still growing.

Hope this helps and good luck.
