I'm trying to find any descendants of Eardley and Annie Harrison, who had 9 children all born in Horncastle. The oldest, Wilmot Eardley, was born in or about 1870, then there were Fred Herbert (or Storbart), Annie Violet(ta), Clement (my mother-in-law's father), Ethel Eveline, Harold, Mabel, Edith Jessie, and Irene, born 1891. Edith Jessie married William Clarke in 1914 in Horncastle, while Ethel married in 1903 either Felix Milburn Blakiston or Francis Higgins Webster. Annie married in 1902, either George Moore or Fred Herbert Tuxworth. Clement married Mary Perrin, but I don't know the date. In 1901 Wilmot and Fred were both draper's assistants, Wilmot in Bridgwater, Somerset and Fred in Derby. Clement had moved to Gillingham, Kent and was a doctor's dispenser. He later became a pharmacist in Putney, but went bankrupt and moved to Leytonstone. My husband wonders if the rest of the family then cut them off, which would explain why his mother never mentioned having any uncles and aunts, which seems very odd with such a large family. So if anyone out there knows anything we would be delighted to know. |

Thanks for this. I had the 1881 census for the Harrisons but hadn't got any further with the others. Must be a different Clement though - ours married Mary Perrin and died in 1947. |
