FREDERICK HARRISON/HAYES Please can anyone help us find details of my husbands great grand father. In 1887 he was in Carnarvon when his son George was born. He was named as HARRISON on the birth certificate but when George married the sirname of father and son had changed to HAYES. It was believed that the name change was to avoid joining the army. George's mother was Mary Arthur who was born 1858 Tywyn Gwynedd. She and George later moved to Machynlleth. We have no details at all of Frederick as we are not sure what to believe. We would be gratefull if anyone could help us.thank you jennifer |
