I know there are a lot of Harltleys in Lancashire, but I am keen to find out any information about Robert Hartley, probably born between 1870 and 1880 who married Sarah Ann Chamley (born 1880 in or around Bacup). They lived in Bacup at Lower Deans Head Farm (any info on where the farm actually is would be gratefully received). They had a son (Richard) and a daughter (Mary) who was my grandmother. My grandmother was adopted aged 4 and never knew what really happened to her parents, Robert and Sarah, or her brother. Please email me at [email protected]
