I am trying to find lost relatives, my paternal grandmother was named Daisy Taylor. She was married to Horace Howell Hayward, they had 4 children, Horace Dennis Gerald(my father) and Nesta. Daisy's husband Horace was killed in a motorcycle accident in around 1923, in County Durham, he was a Borough Surveyor, thus leving my grandmother to bring up 4 children alone, the youngest being about ayear old. As far as I know my grandmother was one of 15 children! I only know a few of the names, those being Rose, Sally Lou Annie Ted Richard and Jack. As far as I can gather they were all born in Wem Shropshire, obviously with the surname Taylor. There are a number of mysteries that I would love to find answers to. One of my grandmother's cousins? was lost on a troop ship during the First World War ( I think), but miraculously reappeared numerous years later, and had been living in America.I have always wondered why she didn't bother to contact her family to let them know she was alive, and am also curious to know what happened to her. If ANYONE can help me locate any of the people mentioned, or help to fill in the blanks, I would be delighted
