Looking for ANY connection of the HAYWARD Family from GLASGOW, SCOTLAND who married into the NICOLSON Family of PORTREE, SCOTLAND..later relocated to Glasgow. According to a marriage document found on scotlandspeople.gov.uk: Frederick R. HAYWARD married my ggrandmother Mary NICOLSON on Dec 27 1912 in the district of Hillhead in the Burgh of Glasgow. He was a leatherworker/saddlemaker. her occupation is unknown. Fred HAYWARD: His father was named Joseph and his mother's name is unknown as it is unreadable on the document., however she was deceased prior to the marriage. Mary NICOLSON: Her father's name was Donald S. NICOLSON and her nother's name was listed as 'Kate'. Maiden mame on the document is unreadable. Mary was born in 1888. Witnesses to the marriage were listed as: Thomas William HAYWARD and Dolina NICOLSON. Not sure how these people are related. Mary and Fred went on to have 2 children: Fred JD HAYWARD (he moved to South Africa in an unknown year) and Christina Nicolson HAYWARD. She is my grandmother born in 1930. Christina arrived in the USA aboard the QueenMary I when she was 22, with a few friends to join her husband, an American GI, Anthony ARITTA who she married in Glasgow. They had one child, Josephine, who is my mother. I have photographs of all of these relatives in my family tree. If you have any information, or would just like to view the tree and see the pictures, please conatct me. Thank you!
