Hi, I am tyring to find info about my Great Grandmother and her twin. They were called *** HILDA & MAUD HAYWARD *** and were born in April 1897 in Hull, My Great Grandmother Maud Hayward married *** EDWARD ROWNTREE *** in 1927 in Cottingham. Maud and Hilda's parents were *** JOSEPH HAYWARD *** and *** ISABELLA ROWNTREE *** who married in the Hull/Sculcoates area in 1880. After Edward's death Maud went on to marry *** ROBERT DUDLEY JACOBS ***. I have lost all trace of HIlda and would love to find out what happened in her life, I would also like to know if their Mum (Isabella) was in any way related to Maud's Husband (Edward) as they both share the surname Rowntree and my grandmother used to tell me a story about the family being disowned... I wondered if this was possibly the reason why! Please, any help at all would be wonderful... Many Thanks |
