Hi, My maternal grandfather, Horace Hayward, was born in c1893 in New York City, and came here in around 1910-1915. There is distinct possibility that he had a brother, Stanley, who lived in Southport, with a possible relative (?son) called Tony. We have photos of both, named, but no other information on Stanley at all. I have been unable to trace their parents details in the US, or why they came to the UK, although Horaces's father is named Thomas on his marriage certificate. Horace was very close to a Deaconess Anne Hargreaves who founded a missionary school in the Phillipines in 1913, and we have photos of them both in New York, but don't know their exact relationship! She may be his aunt, as we have a letter signed Auntie from 1922. Any help with Stanley's family would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all. |
