HAYWARD, JEANETTE (1930 - 1994) - Looking for information on my Nan above. She was born at 26 Pieton Street; Merthyr Tydfil (which now no longer exists) to Ms Sarah Hayward who was a Domestic Servant there at the time (1930). There is no Father on her birth certificate, only an informant; a J.B. Dowers of 40 Thomas Street, Merthyr Tydfil (which no longer exists. Sarah remarried and my Nan Jeanette was placed in a Convent in Bexhill-on-sea. Her best friend was a girl called Philomena. Sarah then went on to have 11-14? more children (incl. twin boys)with her new husband. However my nan never really knew them. She was going to be adopted by her Aunt and Uncle but her new Step-father would not allow it. I have come to a complete stand still with this side of my family so any information on any of the people or places above would be very appreciated so I can carry on my research. |
