HILL AGED 20 (STRANGE NAME FOR A GIRL) AND A UNCLE GEORGE HODGKINSON LIVING WITH THEM ..SON JOHN WAS BORN 1876 AND ON THE 1891 CENSUS MARY IS HEAD OF THE HOUSE SO HER HUSBANDMUST HAVE DIED BETWEEN THEN I THINK..BUT I COULDNT FIND HER ON THE 1871 CENSUS OR BEFORE AS I DONT NO HER MAIDEN NAME.. I HAVE FOUND MARY HILLS THAT MATCH UP SAME YEAR OF BIRTH BUT THEN THAT WOULD MEAN HER MAIDEN NAME WAS ALSO HILL WHICH I SUPPOSE IS POSSIBLE

If you just work back through the censuses you'll find in 1881 she's got her brother Benjamin Radford living with her.

In 1861 they're living with her parents, Henry & Lidia Radford in Derby. Mary Radford Hill is their daughter, born Nottingham, John Hill, son-in-law, born Derby. They also have 1 yr. old daughter Emma Hill.
