Hi
I am tring to find out what happened to My grandfathers Half brother, we knew nothing about him until i started tracing family history, by which time my Grandfather had already passed away.

He was born on 12/7/1928 Bridgeton Glasgow, his parents were Joseph Hill & Janet Clark, his father died in 1932, his mother re-married in 1935 to James Bell, she died in 1982 in Brechin

Other than Alexander's birth i can find no other details, is there anyone out there that can track him down , or know of him, or his mother from when she lived in Brechin, prior to her death in 1982..

Any information would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance
Karen

If you know he kept the name HILL after his mother re-married, you could try searching for a possible death. He may of course still be alive.

There are 2 matches for a death of Alexander C Hill in Angus

or if he changed his name to BELL

There are 5 matches for a death of Alexander C Bell in Angus

'Jane' on Records Office board is visiting the General Register Office in Edinburgh tomorrow and is offering to do look-ups. You could try asking her to check the deaths ... with a view to finding Alexander through his mother's name which should be on the certificate.

Likewise, you could look for a possible marriage in the Brechin district of Angus.
