Find Ancestors

Hi everyone. I did try this request on the Hill surname board but I think people focused on the wrong person.

I am trying to find information on Horace Arthur Hill. Possibly born around 1870. He was married to a woman called Alice and they had a son called Walter. Over on the Hill board people focused on Walter ... so I repeat it is Horace I am looking for information on.

I am led to believe that he was an Omnibus Conductor. That is his occupation as listed on his sons marriage certificate. Also detailed on that certificate in 1922 he was deceased.

Please can anyone help??

Walters marriage certificate was issued in Portsmouth if that is what you mean by 'where'

Horace Arthur Hill. Possibly born around 1870 Where was he born?

when/where might son have been born?
where/when might he have married alice?

If you dont know alices maiden name, you really need sons birth cert

the only Horace Arthur I can see was born 1880 Luton

That said, there are loads of Horace Hill's born here there & everywhere

I have no idea where he was born. His son Walter was born in 1896 in Fulham London.

I have a copy of Walter's marriage certificate and it is dated Sept 2 1922. Walter Hill Married Elsie Alice Griffin. Walters age is 25 and Elsie's 20

Thank you for everyones help. I didn't realize it was going to be so difficult to find him lol.

I am also starting to think that maybe he used his middle name as his first which could throw a huge spanner in the works.

But I am going to do what Minnie suggested and send for Walters birth certificate so I can get the names of both parents.
