Hi Trinity,are you sure of the marrige date of 1839?? seems a bit old to be father(53) to 9 children.The children are listed but much earlyer 1819-32,just a thought Phil

A couple who married in 1839 would not have had children starting in 1818 - unless they were like a couple of my gr-grparents -- married 20 years after they started having kids and several years after the last one was born!

So Mary was born c1801. Make it between 1797 and 1801, and having a first child in 1818 (Thomas) is reasonable. Had James just died before 1841?

Or was Mary a second wife, actually? Nothing in the GRO index.


I wish I knew whom my James Hill, who was having kids c1820, had married ...

soz hun have found on igi got bit mixed up with dates. would like to get earlier than james and mary can i do that on igi or is there any other free sites that may help me
