HILL, BENJAMIN, born abt 1809 Much Wenlock, Shropshire (Salop) to Benjamin Hill and ?. May have had a brother, Solomon Hill, born circa 1812, in MW. Benjamin married a woman named Martha abt 1829-30, possibly in Much Wenlock or somewhere in Northumberland. Their children included Sarah (1831) birthplace unknown, William (1833) born in Northumberland - all subsequent children were born in Madeley, Shropshire, where Benjamin himself died in 1873 - Benjamin (1838), Martha (1840ish), Ann (1843) and John in 1845 - Martha either died in childbirth to John or shortly thereafter in Jul-Sept 1945. Benjamin remarried on 10th Aug 1846 at Madeley's parish church of St. Michael, to Rosanna Boden (nee Biggs) a widow with 2 sons, Richard and James Boden. They had a son together, Thomas, in 1847, but Rosanna died in the 1850s.
