I am looking for any information regarding my Great-great grandfather, GEORGE HILL born between 1845 and 1855 in Guildford, Surrey. He was a fireman/ seaman. I have only found him on the 1901 census in WEST HAM with wife Elizabeth, Elizabeth's daughter also called Elizabeth, their children Ellen Elizabeth, George Henry and Matilda Alice. He is not living with the family in the 1891 census and his wife was married to someone else at the time (William Maybee) ! I have information on the descendents but cannot get any further with the older family. any help would be appreciated. Sam Fitzgerald (nee Taylor) |
