Norma Hill Hi Trying to find any relatives of my father William Leonard Hill, all i have to go on is his birth certificate. Mt father was born in 1917. His fathers name was Thomas Hill Coal Miner who was born somewhere in Wales,and his wifes name was Lily Chambers they were both born round about 1880-1890. My father was born in 1917 in Llanfoist Abergavenny. He moved up to the Midlands when he was about 6 or 7 after his father got killed down the pit. Ater moving up tp the Midlands his mother got married again to a William Wells who died in 1953. He had 3 brothers:- Thomas, he emigrated to Australia in 1954 Alfred Gilbert He also had a sister May who stayed down Wales and lived her life in and around Abergavenny |
