Where to next my g g grandmother Eleanor Bowen b1861 married William Hilton in Llandilofawr JFM 1919 She is in the1881 census in St Clears not in the 1891 census she turns up in the 1901 census in the same area with 2 children george and Sarah Hilton (my gran) need help! where did William come from and where did he go

I'm confused like Alice. I've been looking for a marriage in 1919 - what does original posting mean when refers to JFM 1919?
The marriage cert will show where he came from. What point did he disappear?

Alice you are a genius ! i was thinking about giving up on this one and i know i am being cheeky but do you know where he went the family story is he ran off with the money he stole

In the 1901 census Eleanor is stated as married so her husband had an occupation that took him away from home. Need credits to check the 1911 census to see if she is married or a widow. You need the marriage cert for his occupation

I think that was my 'one and only', John !! -- can't place him in 1901 at all.

As Barbara says, you need the marriage cert to confirm his occupation, then perhaps you could find the little devil in 1901/1911.

There is a Eleanor Bowenborn 1861 on the 1891 census with mother Jane living in the same place as William Hilton that Alice found. Could this be your Eleanor?

i mean this in a nice way...the waters are now so muddy you could go bog snorkeling in it...but i will enjoy putting these pieces together..thanks
