I'm researching my HILTON roots from Atherton and Burtonwood, Lancashire. Elizabeth MOLYNEUX married John HILTON in 1848 and they had several children in Atherton. The last child Edward HILTON was born in 1871 after John died or disappeared and has no father's name on his birth certificate. There is also a baptism record for Edward HILTON for 1872 with the parents as Benjamin and Betty HILTON. Anyone got any ideas on or links to this lot? Edward HILTON then moved to Burtonwood wher he married Alice FARRIMOND in Earlestown. They had several children including my grandma, Elizabeth HILTON who was born in 1903 in Green Jones Brow Burtonwood.
