Hi Ann
Sorry - don't think I can help but since i find so few Hortons in Wales I thought it worth a shot to let you know I'm searching for any of my gt gt grandmother's Horton relatives in Wales also and so far I've been remarkably unsuccessful, hence this note.
She was Elizabeth (nee Horton) Bowen, born 1796 at Cyffig, which is near Whitland, Carmarthenshire, South Wales. She died in 1868 aged 73. She is buried along with my gt gt grandfather John Bowen (b.1793 d.1882) at Bwlchgwynt ("windy gap") Baptist Chapel, Cyffig. They had farmed nearby Ffynnon Cyll ("spring by the hazel tree") farm since around 1830.
Best wishes
