I am trying to find Joseph Houlton who was married to Hannah Jones. They married in Bristol in 1870 and had 3 daughters. Hannah moved to Scotland with another man, Martin Wright and had 2 daughters by him. The wording on the birth certificate of their first daughter in 1884 reads: Father Martin Wright Railway Contractor's Labourer Mother Hannah Jones Housekeeper wife of Joseph Houlton Commission Agent who, she believes is not the father of the child and further that she has not had any communication with him since November 1883 when he left for America. I believe Joseph could have been born in Wokingham in 1846. |
