Hello
I need some more help please on records for the Airforce in 1946 Alan Hughes did his National Service in the Airforce 1946 does anyone know if we can find how to trace the records please?

Have a look at this site, The Veterans Agency, records can be obtained from them if you are NOK or related and have permissionetc
These records are not online nor avaible to view anywhere they are still held by the RAF

Royal Air Force Records are held at The Personnel Management Agency R A F Innsworth Gloucester. I obtained my own National Service Records in 2004 but I quote from the enclosure letter. 'Because you left the service over 50 years ago, almost all of your records have been destroyed in accordance with the MOD document retention policy. However your RAF form 543 Record of Service is still held and a copy is enclosed'
I wish you luck in finding what may be left! You won't get far unless you have a service number.
