HI! I am researching my paternal grandmothers side. This is what I know. She was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1896, her name was Florence Kathryn Hughes. Her parents were Frederic W. Hughes born 1865 in C, Canada and Florence born 1870 in England. His parents were Frederic Hughes born 1840 in Caradoc, Canada and Catherine Perkins born 1841 in Caradoc, Canada. MY gggrandfather Frederic Hughes parents were Paul Hughes born in Wales and Maria Fitzgerald born in Ireland. I believe they married February 21, 1821 in St Mary's Cathedral, Limerick,Limerick, Ireland. I can find There son Fred in 1851 Caradoc, Ontario census, but he is not with his parents even though he is only 11 years old. I hope this sound familiar to someone out there. |
