Philip Charles Hughes wishes to find more about his father, Brinley LLoyd Hughes, who was born in 1913 in Treorchy, South Wales and was the eldest child out of 7. His parents were William Henry Hughes and Gwenllian LLoyd who married in 1912 at the Salem Chapel in Porth. William was a member of the Bargoed Lillies Cricket Club around this time. William's mother was Mary Ann Hughes who was born in 1873 in Pontypool Workhouse but no father is mentioned. Mary's mother was Elizabeth Hughes who was possibly born in Hertfordshire about 1845/6 and never married. She also had another daughter called Jane Hughes who was born about 1868/9 in the Pontypool Workhouse. Any information would be welcomed. Thank you.

If you click on his name you can send a message direct. If the message is opened, the envelope in your "sent items" will turn from mauve to white. If it stays mauve, it could be that Philip is no longer a member of GR, or has changed his email address without updating it on GR.
Good luck,
Liz
