Mary Hughes b1806 in Shelsley in Worcesterchire. Lived in Kinver in 1881 with her daughter Jane Leeson 44, Grand daughters Anne Leeson 20, Elizabeth Leeson 9, Jane Leeson 4, and grand sons William Leeson 3, Arthur Leeson 1. All children and grand children worked on a farm and were born in Kinver apart from Jane Leeson 44 who was born in Claverley. The address is given as 'The Forest', could this be that they lived in the woodlands? As a named house seems too grand for a family of farm workers in that day. What happened to the father of Mary Hughes's child? Are any of your relatives related to these persons? Or did they also live in the woodlands ('the forest')? Were they travelling gypsy types? William Leeson is possible my Great Grand Mother's father, she was Alice Leeson, later Alice Mills. Her mother's maiden name is believed to be Sivons or Sivit or something similar. Kind regards........
