My Grandmother - MAY LILLIAN HUGHES 09/05/1900 was married in British Columbia, Canada Feb 17, 1919 to Samuel George Barnes. They had four children in Canada as they homestead across to Montreal, Quebec before coming to England (Sam Barnes was British in Merchant Navy stationed in Canada - from Bermondsey). They followed their already 4 children with another 6 - 10 in total. My Grandmother was not sure if she was born in Ireland, moved to Canada then adopted OR Born in Ireland - adopted, then moved to Canada. She was very young at the time - either a toddler or younger. Before her passing in September 1984 she said her birth name was DOYLE. Any Info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Angela |
