Trying to find the AUSTRALIAN connection of the HUGHES family. My great grandmother was ELIZABETH HUGHES born in Ivanhoe (we think)New South Wales, who also had a brother Edward (Ted) who we think moved to Adelaide, South Australia. Elizabeth married HENRY CHARLES MOORHEAD born c1859 and who died 1935 aged 76yrs. Elizabeth died in Hay New South Wales in the 1960's, she had at least 4 children (Emily May - my grandmother, Willian/Bill, Henry/Harry and Lesley). Her father was EDWIN MELBOURNE HUGHES and mother's name was FRANCES (nee unknown). I don't have a lot of information regarding Elizabeth only what my mother can remember so every bit would help. |
