Trying to find any living descendents of the Hughes family from Royston, Yorks, who were split up after both parents died in the 1920s. Their father was WILLIAM b. Royston abt 1891 and their mother was REBECCA PEARCE from Cornwall (known as Rebie). William died in 1926 and Rebie in 1929, probably both from TB. The children were MORLAND abt 1910, MARY abt 1912, DICK(Richard?) abt 1915, VI (Rebecca Violet) abt 1919 and BETTY abt 1923. The children were split up and went to stay with various relatives in Cornwall. Morland spent some time in India before returning to Cornwall and marrying. Mary went to a hotel keeping family in Penzance. Dick joined the navy as a boy sailor at 16. Vi went to St Hilda's College Oxford, lectured at Sandhurst and emigrated to Canada. She was taken in by Charles and Letty Humphreys from Penzance. Betty was taken in by a relative in Marazion who ran a daffodil nursery. If any of these is still alive or has any living descendants, I would love to get in touch. My Mum, their cousin Menai, and her three brothers are all still alive. Sue
