Trying to find Hughes

My Grandmother was Caroline Hughes (Carrie). I am looking to find more information as I know very little about her or her family. She lived in Vine Street Aston Birmingham and had two daughters, my mother Ivy Lillian born 1923 and my aunty Doris born 1925 in Aston Birmingham. She was unmarried. Caroline and the children moved in to a local workhouse in 1925 and the children were subsequently placed in The Josiah Mason Orphanage in Erdington Birmingham. Caroline we think left the area in the early 1930's and the children were subsequently fostered. I would love to hear from anyone who has any information or knows of relatives of Caroline |
