I'm trying to find any info on the Hughes family. My Great Grandfather John Henry was born 28/06/1886 at 33 High St, Sedgley. His parents were William Hughes & Agnes Gadd, and brother/sisters:- Sarah (1876), Charles Alfred (1879), Mary Ann (1883) and Leonard (1893). In 1901 they were living at 39 Castle st. John Henry married Florence Jane Flavell in 1914 and they lived in Bilston St. They had 2 children:- John Henry (1915) and Agnes Olive (1916). John Henry died in November 1917 and we know very little about his family. If you have any info please get in touch.
Many thanks

Have you tried a website called Sedgley Manor...it has people on there who are researching many different surnames from the Sedgley Parish, has old photos too etc...it's well worth a look.
I have a copy on my computer of sedgely all saints parish magazine...(front cover only)
It has some Hughes listed on there:
Miss A Hughes~sunday school teacher
Miss F Hughes~magazine distributor
Treasurer~Mr W M Hughes
Just wondering if they are yours?!!!
