I have a Harriet Ada Beeson born 1868 , I believe in Stevenage, Herts to William and Sarah Beeson (Wiggins). She was one of a family of 6 sons and 5 daughters and the parents originated in London but moved up to Sheffield in 1875 through family circumstances and on the death of the father, William (1828-1875). Eventually Harriet married a Jackson....not sure of his first name but may have been Horace...in any case it's believed there was a Horace in the family...may have been both father and son by that name. There was also one named Boy and a girl called Marjory. It is said there were 5 children altogether and they moved to Canada at some stage but then returned and eventually built up quite a large lorry business in the Doncaster area. This would have been about the 1930s and 40s or so. If anyone can tell me anything about this family I would be pleased to hear from them. Thankyou. |
