I am trying to find information on my mothers relatives. Her name was Elizabeth (Betty) Jackson, born in the Millfield area of Sunderland, in 1928. Her mother was'nt married and died when my mum was 3/4 years old. She never knew her father and was brought up by her grandma. She went to Diamond Hall School in Millfield, Sunderland and went on to work in a printing shop near the Sunderland Empire. Her auntie- Ivy Frater, and her uncle George lived close by. They had children called Carol, Ann, Michael and another daughter, but I can't remember her name. She had another auntie called 'Lil' and an uncle Bob who was married to Nora. She went on to marry my father Robert(Bob) Martin and had 4 children. |
