Trying to find information on parents of a George Henry JACKSON (paternal G'father) I don't have definite dates but approx. born 1898-1902, died 1955-57. He married Lillian May PALEY and they had 6 children, one of whom died during infancy. In the 1930's, George and Lilian lived in the Highgate/Archway area and I believe on Lillians side were a SLOSS family who lived next door to them. As all the children, including my father, were evacuated during WW2 none of them so far have any definite information on their grandparents.. I can find some similar names but nothing concrete. Lillian was born after 1901 (maybe 1902-3) and I believe eldest son born c1924. Also, my father believes the JACKSONS may have origins in Shoreditch, and PALEYS in Shoreditch and/or Chadwell Heath. Apparently Lilian had a cousin Edna who lived in Eric Road in Chadwell Heath c.1936 Anything at this stage would be a huge help! |
