I am trying to find relatives and info on a Thomas Jackson born in 1828 in Ashton-u-lyne Thomas married an Elizabeth White born 1829 in Stockport . They married at St Georges Hyde in 1850. Thomas died in 1869 aged 42. They had 6 children? According to the census forms of 1871. MARY HANNAH born 1851 ANNIE " 1853 WILLIAM " 1855 THOMAS " 1857 GEORGE HARRY " 1860 (My great Grandfather) JOHN " 1864 They were Inn keppers in Ashton -u - Lyne. They had a few Pubs. BRITISH STANDARD OLD ST THE THEATRE AND CONCERT OLDHAM RD & THE NEW INN @ WOODHOUSES OVER DAISY NOOK. It would seem that Elizabeth carried on running the pubs after her husbands death. My last finding of her I believe of Elizabeth is Welbeck Rd Ashton where she died aged 62 in 1889. Her son George H Jackson married a Catherine Henry from Saintfield in County Down. They married in Chadderton in 1886. They had 2 daughters Elizabeth then Florence Jackson who was my Grandmother. She married my Grandfather James Gallagher a widower with 2 daughters Edith known as Ada and Mary Ellen.Known as Nellie. Probably too much info but any help would be greatly appreciated. Agnes |
