information needed on my Gt Grandfather, SAMUEL JACKSON BORN 1863 in Kaipoi South Island New Zealand. Died 1914. married Janet Robins Born in 1866 in Dunedin. nz. They had seven children:- Sam died 1918, Janet Ann born 1887,(my grandmother),Harry, died 1914, Mary Jane born 1892 died 1979, John died 1914, Tui Isobel b 1894 died 1918, Harriet Edna b 1910 died 1984. I think Samuel, and his sons were involved in the Huntly Coal Mine explosion in 1914 and the three of them were killed in the disaster, the mine was called the Ralph Mine any information greatly appreciated.
