My Dad's side of the family are proving a little elusive. My G.Grandfather is shown as William James Jackson a timber salesman in the Bethnal Green area of East London. We believe he married a lady called Sarah Ann Hadkiss (and I still await the confirmation from family records), anyhow I have alsways been told that William James Jackson was also a bare fist fighter known as 'White Knob of Bethnal Green' due to the walking cane he carried. Their children were Tom Jackson - later an upholsterer, Sydenham, S.London Fred Jackson Charlie Jackson Billy Jackson - (m) Becky & later moved to Berkhamstead Ethel Jackson Florrie Jackson Edith Jackson Mary Jackson - (m) George Lloyd - Fireman Herbert Francis Jackson - (b) 08/08/1897 Grandfather/Father (m) Bertha Priestman Jul 1920 If anyone has any useful info or links, I would only be too pleased to hear from you. Sorry Frank F. Don't think any are related Geoff J Jackson |
