Kansas. Thomas and Alice Sheat Scrase were m.in Bristol England and emigrated to Wyandotte,Kansas in 1887. Thomas and Alice were schoolteachers but Thomas is on the US Census as a car repairer on the railways.His family in Wales were patternmakers and engineers. Thomas has died sometime between 1910 and 1920 census and Alice has moved to LA, Cal. Her death is at Riverside,Sacramento county. . Her son William A enlisted in the 1st W War. . I am descended from Thomas' older brother William who came to NZ about 1875. Would be very interested in US descendants and I have lots of info re James family in Wales. |
