I don't have the Barnsley Parish Records...but a starting point is the 1911 Census on which there is:

ROBERT JAMES born 1884 Gawber Barnsley Coal Miner/Hewer
MARY ANN JAMEs (wife) 1885..married 3 years.
THOMAS JAMES born 1909
ROBERT JAMES born 1910.....

Address: Nithdale Place Gawber Barnsley

I'll look for his birth on the 1891 Census and get back to you

1891 census is just a guess.... robert married mary jane ellis [1911 census]

The 1891 Census is backed uo by the 1901 Census


John james came from Pontisbury in Shropshire born 1846
Keziah his wife came from West bromwich born 1859

canot find the marriage but he was Coal Miner, and moved to Barugh green Gawber Barnsley where he had his children including Robert in 1884

That Louisa on 1911 her year of birth matches the one on 1891 census where she is 5 making her yob 1886???
