Ellen Emily James was the daughter of Frederick and Ellen James. She was born circa 1887 in Covent Garden London. Her elder brother was Frederick James and she had 8 other siblings. I would be interested to find out when she died or if she ever married.

Could anyone help me with any information please.

Regards

Jonesey

Thank you everyone. Mike that is quite interesting because I seem to remember my mother telling me she was evacuated to her aunt Ellen (or Nell as they called her) and she lived in Sussex. I will have to check it with her and see if this jogs her memory ie the husbands name.

Fingers crossed.

1911 says 10 of 13 children were still alive

Ryswick23

Ryswick23 Report 29 Dec 2010 18:05

Gosh does that mean that 3 children died?

Ryswick23

Ryswick23 Report 29 Dec 2010 18:09

I knew there were 9 children in total and one boy called John died but I wasnt aware there were anymore who died. I have never seen any others listed on earlier census.

cagsie

cagsie Report 29 Dec 2010 18:11

it would mean they died as infants, being born and deceased inbetween the census years
my grandmother was one of 12, but my mum only knew of 5 aunties/uncles
