Find Ancestors

I am trying to find information on the parents of John Walton James born 1802. He married Eliza Christopher born 1806, and he was a master watchmaker in Liverpool according to the 1841 census, living in Bailey St. Liverpool.

I know there are several James living in Weobley and Herefordshire, but I have been unable to make any connection. He would have been my great, great grandfather.

Please can anyone help?

Now looking for the ancestors of my maternal grandfather William Edgar Gleave. I have a copy of his marriage certificate dated 25th August 1880 to Mary Ann Foster, in the parish church in the parish of Holy Trinity, St. Helens, and his occupation is Chemist. His father is Thomas Gleave, occupation stonemason.

I have found a possible match in the 1871 census for William but it seems in previous censuses the name is spelt Glave. The family seem to be based in Billinge.
