I am looking for the family of John James. John was a Master Mariner. He was born in the Charmouth Lyme Regis area of Dorset. On a Crew agreement it states his birth place as Charmouth abt 1826-1831 depending on his sailing records the date showed he was older however eberything else leads to 1831. In 1881 his marriage records (wales) it states he was a widow when he married Elizabeth Neck in his second marriage. I would like to find his first wife I am unsure if she was from the Dorset region or Wales. It is possible his first marriage could have created a duaghter Florence Emmaline who was 7 in 1881 as the census reads she was living with Elizabeth Neck after the marriage. His father was John James (Coast Guard) his mother was Mary or an Ann. Capt John James left Wales abt 1881 or some time after and went to Newfoundland. Any leads would be of great help, thank you.
