Trying to find ALLEN JAMES born c1877 Monmouthshire, Wales. Allen married Elizabeth Blackwell in 1897. They had my grandmother, Violet Elizabeth James in 1897. Elizabeth died in 1898 and Allen & Violet moved to Riska, Monmouthshire and lived with Allen's family. Allens family: Mother: Margaret c1856 Father: Thomas c1839 Children: Clara c1898, Doris May c1901, Florence c1891, John c1883, Margaret c1896, Oliver Folence c1893, Owen c1884, Sarah c1886, Warren c1897. I have heard that Allen may have died in a coal mining accident. I'd like to know if he remarried and whether he raised Violet or if she was left with his parents. Violet did end up in Scotland but I don't know how or why. Please contact me if you have any information. Thanks, Julie |
